System is not cooling due to being frozen solid from the evaporator coil up the line set into the compressor. It hadn’t made it to the compressor yet, but the evaporator coil line set is solid ice. System has gas heat so I applied gas heat to get the system defrosted so it could be diagnosed for why it’s not cooling. System is likely low on charge. The furnace was replaced recently, but they did not change the evaporator coil and AC outdoors on the roof. System is running, but this very well should’ve been replaced when the furnace was replaced to get everything matched up good.
Please note that I will need to wait for the defrost time, but I am waiting on site so it can be diagnosed and get the cooling back on as soon as possible without having to let it naturally defrost and causes a long weight on the cooling. System is likely low on refrigerant. That will get a full diagnostics once I get it defrosted

After fully defrosting, I did charge the system with proper refrigerant of 3.7 l

The system provision works stage one and stage two heating is working properly with the new thermostat that is up. The equipment that’s having the issue right now is totally separate system for next-door. Right now, that store is closed, but we need a separated work order for the Nigh Eye Group. There has been ongoing work done for Visionworks and the equipment that supplies the heat to the main part of the store. This is a 7 1/2 ton that has been needing replaced, but we are rebuilding the gas heat portion as it goes out, but very much pushing for new equipment the next round on Visionworks. But to retouch the system in question here is for next-door. There is a shared area with this equipment that is partially inside of the rear rooms of vision works and is currently on and working and there is a satisfied thermostat at 72° for the next-door eye group. Vision Work is partners with Nigh but they work order needs to be separated and put in for NIGH and it will be completely separate eq

Repairing the end of the flex run good enough to repair without replacing the full run. This was almost inaccessible due to how low the crawlspace is on the front corner of the house, but ensuring proper secure and seal of the 6 inch flex run to the boot of the supply vent. Screws straps and tape was used. Please note that it looks like plumbers. Just literally jerked it out of their way tearing the end of the flex run off and leaving it sealed to the boot. Everything had to be removed in the end of the flex repaired before connection.

System is making a noise and after eliminating the fact that it’s possible it was the condenser fan. I found that it was actually the reversing valve. The reverse and valve are not opening all the way up in heat mode and is screaming by and we have gas being trapped as well because the line set got so hot that it melted the armor flex off of it and coated the copper like it was spray painted black. I will be ordering a new reverse in valve with new coil pack and try to see if the new coil pack will open and close the reverse and valve all the way both ways for both heat and cooling cycles as an attempt to fix the issue before changing the reversing valve altogether. System is performing properly, but with a malfunctioning reversing valve. Model and serial number are uploaded to documents.

The system here is a mini split, the model is 2014, which is impressive due to it not being built for what it’s been used for. It is not ideal to run in cooling mode year-round due to the extreme temperatures within the winter and trying to maintain 65° inside of a data room. Key factors need to be taken in to consideration of baffles being put in front of the unit to keep wind off the unit during the winter time as well as consideration to replace the mini split here now with a system that is built for extreme temperatures, which will hold up to the fact that it runs in AC year-round. Low outdoor ambient kits installed from day one, baffle kits to keep the wind off the unit outdoors installed from day one and the system itself built for those type conditions is key factors in considering replacing the system. Having said that the 2014 system is going on 12 years old of extreme use. We’ve had 14 winners where this thing has struggled to maintain cooling mode with outdoor cold temperatu

Nic did a great job evaluating why our commercial HVAC (2) were not operating properly. He showed the damage and came back the next day to replace the items. He provided repair/replacement estimates for one of our split systems that is about 20 years old. The system appear to working well and he did some predictive maintenance as well and replaced a belt before it will break.
