Good service
Arrived on site and performed a complete diagnostic evaluation of the HVAC system. During inspection, found the heat exchanger/chamber assembly to have multiple cracks present, creating a significant safety and performance concern. Further testing revealed the compressor is operating above manufacturer-rated amperage, indicating excessive strain and potential compressor failure. Due to the condition of the system, overall reliability and efficiency have been greatly impacted. Customer requested refrigerant to be added to the system; however, adding refrigerant will not correct the underlying mechanical issues or resolve the cracked chamber condition. Advised customer that the system requires major repairs and that continued operation may result in further component damage and reduced system performance. Discussed findings and recommendations with the customer. Customer understands the current condition of the equipment and the potential risks associated with continued operation.
Arrived on job and performed a full system evaluation. Upon inspection, found the system was improperly installed from the original installation. The outdoor condensing unit is a 2023 Goodman R-410A system, while the indoor evaporator coil is an older R-22 coil manufactured in 2008. Due to the mismatch in equipment and refrigerant design, the system is not configured for proper operation or efficiency. Further inspection revealed the liquid line sizing is incorrect and undersized for the equipment application, which can negatively impact refrigerant flow and overall system performance. At the time of service, these installation-related issues were the primary cause of the system not operating properly. No additional mechanical failures were found during today’s visit. However, due to the mismatched equipment and improper installation setup, the system cannot operate at manufacturer specifications and may continue to experience performance and reliability issues until corrected proper
Will need to return to do board
A bad batch of thermostats.
Arrived on site and performed a full diagnostic evaluation of the HVAC system after the customer reported the unit was not operating. Upon inspection, the system was found to be non-functional due to a faulty thermostat (T-stat) that was not properly communicating with the equipment. Removed and replaced the defective thermostat under warranty. After installation, tested the system thoroughly to ensure proper operation, including checking communication, system response, and overall performance. System is now running properly and operating within manufacturer specifications at time of departure. Customer was informed of work completed and system status.
Customer wants to reschedule
Arrived on site and performed a comprehensive inspection and maintenance on both systems. After a thorough evaluation, no deficiencies or operational issues were identified. Both systems are currently operating within manufacturer specifications and performing properly. Completed full maintenance on each system to ensure continued efficiency and reliability. Provided the customer with estimates for indoor air quality enhancement products for potential future improvements.
Arrived on site and met with the customer to assess the reported issue. Performed a thorough diagnostic evaluation of the system and determined that the thermocouple is intermittently tripping under normal operating conditions. This behavior indicates a faulty thermocouple, preventing the system from maintaining proper operation. Advised the customer that the thermocouple will need to be replaced to restore reliable system performance. The required replacement part will be ordered, and installation will be scheduled upon arrival. System will be returned to proper working condition once repairs are completed.
