Replaced 3-ton ac coil and 90% 80k BTU furnace. Rerouted drain lines. Flushed line set. Installed new supply plenum and reconnected duct with flex since new unit is much taller. Installed pan switch and ez trap. Installed Wi-Fi thermostat for downstairs unit. Verified system in cooling mode. System is operational at time of departure.

Replaced 4-ton heat pump air handler. Flushed line set ran new thermostat wire from indoor to outdoor unit as well as new vinyl tubing for new condensate pump. Installed new plenum and 20x25x4 April Aire cabinet. Installed Wi-Fi stat, disconnect, whip, pad. Ran new flex for 16" return. Verified operation in heating mode. System is operational at time of departure.

I read the notes from the last technician that was out just a day over a week ago eight days ago. I see where the contactor was replaced in the attic, but the contactor was burnt again. I don’t see any immediate wiring issues nor inside of the disconnect, but this time not only did it kill the indoor unit contractor but it also dead short the ground the compressor please see pictures uploaded to documents. I had the homeowner help me record outdoors to do the pen test and it is an absolute dead short ground between any selection of two pins on the three runs start common pan test on the compressor. It is an absolute dead short ground. Please note that in the main panel where the power comes in at the indoor unit and the outdoor unit are the first two breakers under that load. This was an absolute power surge, and it is an intermittent power surge of some kind because the technician again like I said, just replaced the contactor in the attic and it is gone again as well as the compresso

Repair guy spent about 3/4 a day over the course of 2 days. Checking the system. Never found a leak (or never disclosed a leak was found). Showed 3 pics of rust spots but not guage info. Told me I needed 2 new systems at $22,000. This price included a number of "bells and whistles" that I have now learn were not necessary. I will note one of the systems was working and cooling downstairs. According to the repair guy there were no other option. After the purchase of new systems didn't happen, I was charged for service call and left without any relief. Contacted another company for second opinion. Informed need to recharge one unit (downstairs) and replace coil in unit for upstairs. Work was done for less than $2000 Repair guy was nice guy but he didn't diagnose anything without first calling "manager" and then it was all about selling new systems.
