Homeowner Troubleshooting & FAQs
We hear a lot of questions from homeowners in Vincent, especially those in the single-detached homes built around the 1980s that make up much of our local housing market.
Here are the answers you need:
Why is my heater not warming?
This could be a faulty ignitor in your gas furnace, a clogged air filter, or a broken thermostat. We recommend immediate hvac repair to diagnose the exact issue.
What are the signs my HVAC needs repair?
Look out for poor airflow, sudden spikes in your energy bill, or short cycling. Furthermore, if you hear your AC making loud noises (like banging, squealing, or grinding), turn it off immediately to prevent catastrophic compressor damage.
Why is my AC blowing warm air?
In Vincent, this often points to a refrigerant leak, a frozen evaporator coil, or a failed condenser fan.
What Makes Vincent’s Climate Unique?
Vincent’s geography features mild slopes, tranquil neighborhoods, and beautiful rural stretches. However, being in close proximity to the Coosa River means our area experiences higher, localized micro-climate humidity compared to other parts of Shelby County.
This excess moisture makes your air conditioner work overtime to dehumidify the air. Our local technicians understand how to properly size and calibrate HVAC systems for the specific atmospheric conditions of the area, ensuring your ductwork and humidity control systems are perfectly balanced.
