Arrived on site and performed a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation of the HVAC system, including a full system check of refrigerant levels, operating pressures, and overall performance. During testing, the system was found to be operating with low refrigerant levels, indicating a potential leak within the system. Further diagnostic procedures were performed, including a detailed inspection of the evaporator coil located inside the air handler. It was determined that the coil has developed a refrigerant leak at two separate U-bends, which is the primary cause of the low refrigerant condition and reduced system efficiency. Due to the location and nature of the leaks, repair would be difficult and may not provide a long-term solution. All findings were clearly communicated to the customer, along with a thorough review of available repair and replacement options.
