Arrived on site to provide solutions for cooling an additional room added to the home. Tech explained to customer that ductwork could be reconfigured to provide more airflow to that side of the home. Tech also explained that a 1.5 Ton mini split could be installed to provide another source of cooling to the room. Tech quoted customer for solutions. Customer stated that he would speak with spouse to discuss options.

Arrived on site to provide an estimate for new 1.5 Ton heat pump. Found that system was low on R22 due to a leak. Tech quoted customer for repairs and system replacement. Customer received a quote of 9987 for a new system. Customer stated that he would be in touch with technician regarding system replacement.

Installed a drain line, cut excess foam from curb, and repositioned the gas line.

Arrived on site to provide an estimate for new ductwork. Found that entire ductwork system was undersized due to upgrading to a 3 ton system from a 2 ton system. Tech explained that this will dramatically impact system performance and longevity. Tech quoted customer 2870 to replace flex runs, and 6987 to completely replace ductwork.

Will follow up with customer next month about condenser fan motor and capacitor. Tune up performed.

I arrived at 8:50 and spoke with the cst. He stated the inspector for his client and mentioned the temperature difference from vent to return was unacceptable with 14–20-degree target. I tested the system after it got up to speed and my difference was 18° F. I checked multiple places. Inspector also had stated some duct work around the plenum was unacceptable. I replaced some mastic and taped up some others. No more leaks. See pictures for both temperature difference and duct tape/wrap workmanship.

House has never had a/c before but it does have a 90% gas-fired furnace and the crawl space crawl space access underneath the front porch left hand side of the home breaker panel on the left hand side of the home and the customer has solar power but when they ran the solar power they ran it into 100 amp service and there are no breakers for us to install a AC unit without doing a complete 200 amp panel upgrade or a sub panel but doing a subpanel is pushing the limit on the 100 amp service is not recommended. The new AC would require new line set new thermostat wire new high voltage wire and a place to go on the high voltage side which would require the upgrade to electrical as well as needing a condensate pump and new line set cased coil and condenser. Unfortunately, the customer does not have the means to take care of these issues, is limited to 1447 a month which is his exact phrasing. Arrived today to perform tune up, unit its 1-year-old customer was not happy with electrical whip we charged him, he said that the disconnect should have come when he replaced the system with Aireserv, I cleaned the coils, checked battery cap contactor and pressures, no issues or concerns about the system, ac is working properly. Apologized to him about his bad experience with the install.

Arrived on site to perform system maintenance. Found that main floor system had a leaking evaporator coil and schrader core, and needed R-22 refrigerant to achieve proper cooling. Tech quoted customer for these repairs (as well as additional, minor repairs) and customer stated they would likely choose to upgrade the main floor system. Customer’s install was penciled in for Tuesday morning at 10am. Systems remained operational upon departure.

Furnace located in the crawl space. Crawl space located under the back porch okay amount of room and some areas but low and others would need to enlarge the return pan in and cut upstairs to add a filter Grill into the floor make it a 16 use the original return line for one of the smaller return ducts just to add a little extra air flow for the new refrigerant as well as for seeing sometimes the filters being clogged up and forgotten to be replaced over time . Customer normally moves the Shelf and adjust the door swing stopper to be able to access the pull down ladder. Both condensers are located on the back end of the left side of the home. 80% gas fired furnace with two and a half ton AC coil and condenser furnace and coil are located in the basement liquid line shows evidence of oxidization on the copper line. Both blower Wheels could use a good cleaning in the near future to help with the efficiency of airflow heat rejection absorption of the evaporator coil as well as having cleaner air. Saving the customer from pricey blower motor replacements. Found a leaking straighter valve on the suction line while attaching my gauges it did let a little bit out so I replaced the straighter valve and put less than half a pound back into the system. Apartment style two and a half ton heat pump issues with air flow due to clogged evaporator as well as dirty blower wheel 25 amp breaker to the main panel was tripped but did not trip the 25 amp breaker in the disconnect recommended replacing that breaker as the bare minimal customer did not wish to move forward with the other cleaning. Compressor is also showing signs of mechanical failure likely due to the issue of dryer vent location and not being able to be hooked up I did recommend dryer vent wizard but the hot air and debris is making it into the system which is making the compressor work harder also the condenser was that too close to the back wall and the fence and has blockages and airflow with it customer did sign up for the membership and to have the breaker replaced to try and Limp the system along. Mentioned a friend would be able to clean the coil. Tony is going to run back and replace the breaker today as I have a call on the other side of town but I have to make it to.

Arrived on site to provide customer with estimate for new 3.5 Ton AC + 90% furnace and duct repairs.

Arrived at the home and found thermostat satisfied. They are going under repairs at the home leaks in the windowsills, patio glass door beaming sunlight into the living room. Lack of insulation under the house and attic. Can see into the attic from the back of the house. Poor insulation under the house. Customer is at the hospital at the time of visit. Kept the contractor who’s a friend of the family advised of everything.

Removed all three condenser fan motors replaced with OEM condenser fan motors from Goodman Factory. Also installed three surge protectors tested the motors and got pictures of model and serial numbers as well as green light indicator to show they are functioning. (pictures and video in Titan) to show motors running with old motors in a pile with boxes of the surge protectors beside them. I would recommend a biannual Maintenace to prolong the life of the systems and improve efficiency. Outdoor coils could use a good cleaning, and we should look at furnaces during heating season. I remember seeing a hole drilled in the pvc flu while draining the pans. This could cause carbon monoxide to escape into the warehouse and possibly the store front which could lead to sickness or in worst case death since the gases produced are both odorless and undetectable to human senses. Carbon monoxide detectors could aid in this as well as patching that section of pvc.

Arrived today for an estimate gave them 3 options for the new system a coil sterilizer and a Reme halo light, sold them a 14 seer 3-ton Daikin system 80% gas furnace along with a new thermostat and a mew condensate pump. customer wants this to be installed Friday morning.

I called customer for a follow up on the tune up I preformed at her home. I spoke with Lorraine and we determined that the coil sterilizer and electrostatic filters would be an option she and her daughter,Cassie, would be Interested in. Lorraine will converter with Cassie and will return a call tonight to see what plans will need to be made to follow forward.

I picked up a window ac unit.

Arrived today to help walker, put the coil door back in and sealed it, recheck the pressure system was low on freon due to a long line set added 3 lbs. of 410A freon pressures are fine now, no issues or concern about the system, ac is back online.

Customer would like me to be their maintenance tech for future visits. They have a Two and a half ton gas package unit located in the backyard on the left hand side of the home crawl space entrance is located on the back left hand side of the home as well. Where you can find the water heater. Clean the coils check the in Rush amperage it does appear to be high at 85 in Rush locked Road ramps or rated for 73 recommend putting on a compressor saver fuel run capacitor 40-5 was also found to be slightly out of range. Also recommend replacing it. Condenser motor show signs of overheating as it is extremely rusted. I will look into seeing about having it replaced and what the cost of motor and labor would be Club maintenance, dual cap and compressor saver, ect
