AC Repair, Furnace Repair & Heating Services You Can Count On
If you’re searching for AC repair near you or trying to find a dependable HVAC company in Greenville, SC, chances are something in your home doesn’t feel right. Maybe the air isn’t cooling evenly. Maybe the system is running nonstop. Or maybe the heat won’t kick on when you need it most.
Homeowners in Greenville deal with hot, humid summers and cold snaps that put real stress on HVAC systems. When your system struggles, you want answers and a company that can actually fix the problem, not just sell you a tune-up.
When Your Air Conditioner Isn’t Keeping Up
Air conditioning problems rarely happen at a convenient time. Most homeowners start searching for AC repair near me when something feels off, before the system stops completely.
Common AC problems we see in Greenville homes:
-
AC blowing warm or weak air
-
System running constantly but not cooling
-
Ice on the outdoor unit or refrigerant lines
-
Loud or unusual noises
-
Sudden spikes in energy bills
-
Thermostat not responding correctly
In many Greenville neighborhoods, AC systems work overtime during long summer heat waves. That leads to worn capacitors, clogged coils, refrigerant leaks, and airflow issues. All problems that require proper diagnosis, not guesswork.
Should you repair or replace your AC?
Homeowners often ask:
-
“Is it worth repairing my AC?”
-
“How long should an AC unit last in South Carolina?”
As a general rule:
-
If your AC is under 10 years old, repairs usually make sense
-
Frequent breakdowns, high energy bills, or uneven cooling may signal a larger issue
-
Older systems may cost more to repair than they’re worth
A trusted HVAC technician should explain what’s failing, why it happened, and what your options are without pressure.
Prevent Breakdowns Before They Start
Many breakdowns we respond to could have been prevented with routine HVAC maintenance service. In Greenville’s climate, systems run hard for much of the year, which means wear adds up quickly.
What professional HVAC service actually includes:
-
Checking refrigerant levels and system pressures
-
Inspecting electrical components and safety controls
-
Cleaning coils and clearing airflow restrictions
-
Testing system performance and efficiency
-
Identifying small issues before they become emergency repairs
Homeowners often ask:
-
“How often should HVAC systems be serviced?”
Most systems should be inspected twice per year. Once before cooling season and once before heating season.
Regular HVAC service improves:
-
Comfort and airflow
-
Energy efficiency
-
System lifespan
-
Reliability during extreme weather
When Your Heat Stops Working
While winters in Greenville are generally mild, heating systems still matter—especially during overnight freezes and cold mornings.
If you’re searching for furnace repair or heater repair, you may be noticing:
-
Heat blowing lukewarm or cold
-
Furnace short cycling
-
Unusual smells or sounds
-
Rising gas or electric bills
-
System failing to turn on at all
Is it safe to keep running a malfunctioning furnace?
No. Heating issues—especially with gas furnaces—can pose safety risks. Strange smells, soot, or frequent shutdowns should be addressed immediately.
A proper heater repair should:
-
Verify safe combustion and ventilation
-
Test ignition systems and heat exchangers
-
Ensure consistent, even heating throughout the home
Emergency HVAC Repair Near Greenville
HVAC problems don’t wait for business hours. That’s why many homeowners search for HVAC repair near me late at night or during extreme weather.
Emergency HVAC service is often needed when:
-
AC fails during a heat wave
-
Heat stops working overnight
-
Electrical or safety components shut down the system
-
Water leaks or frozen coils threaten further damage
A reliable local HVAC company should respond quickly, communicate clearly, and prioritize restoring comfort safely.

There’s a couple of things going on here at Sherwin-Williams. The rear system had water in the pan which tripped the moisture sensor. I found that all three systems had fall out of the unit, but the main drain lines tying into the one main going outside all had uphill to them, which caused that system to back up, but the overall issue was the system that corporate could see wasn’t coming on was the front right system which from the rear of the building is the system far left of the three in a row; this system had a tripped breaker in the main panel, which sent me to the outdoor compressor. System was calling to come on from the thermostat with the contactor pulled in but the system was not running. I pushed the contactor to manually turn the system on, and the pressure stayed equalized compressor was not coming on. I checked the battery cap, which was a 70/7.5 and found that Herm and common was completely dead on that capacitor. I tested the system with the proper capacitor and sat wit

He provided repair/replacement estimates for one of our split systems that is about 20 years old.
